NASCAR 2014 season opens at the Daytona International Raceway on February 20, 2014. The second race will also be in Daytona on February 23rd. Wisely choosing warmer locations for early season races makes racing and Luxury RVing a perfect match up. The next two races will be in Phoenix, AZ and then Los Vegas, NV. March will bring the competitors back east to Bristol, TN. We have the entire schedule listed below.
Who do you think will win? Sporting News’ Jeff Owners has over a dozen predictions for this season. One is that Matt Kenseth will not be able to match his 2013 numbers and another is that Steward-Haas will struggle again in 2014.
2014 Brings New Chase Qualification Rules
If you are confused by NASCAR’s new points system and Chase format, you are not alone.
Here are the highlights: The 15 drivers with the most wins over the first 26 races get a spot in the Chase as long as they finish in the top 30 in points and attempt to qualify for every race. The 16th Chase spot goes to the series points leader at the end of the regular season.
